Workshop: Intro to Dynamic Sketching

This course opens on June 9, 2025.

This Intro to Dynamic Sketching Workshop is an intensive beginner level workshop which will familiarize students with the basics of perspective and forms. It will cover beginner level one- and two-point perspective concepts, the five forms and how to combine and manipulate those forms, the basic three tone block-in, and finally intuitive perspective.

If students demonstrate a strong understanding of the concepts provided, the following may also be covered in this workshop:

  • Intro to beginner level three-point perspective
  • Basic mechanical forms
  • Basic organic forms

The concepts above will not be discussed if students are not ready for them. Students who already have a working knowledge of the basics will be given additional instruction to advance their skills to next level concepts.

Notes: Students are expected to draw often outside of workshop hours and after the completion of the workshop to build strong confidence in the concepts learned.
